Now I'm gonna explain these ideas a little bit more in depth in this audio that I'm gonna give you today.
So hold on, and I'm gonna give you a deeper explanation. But on the surface of it, I have started learning a lot more about flavor and nutrition and how it impacts our body. And not in a good, bad food way, not in a, you need to eliminate all of this because it's killing you and ruining your health. But in a way, I've never hurt anyone in my entire life.
In all my years of coaching on this, explain it. And so I'm really excited to release these new ideas, but I thought what would be super fun to talk about this transformation that I have been going on in my life than with an audio series. So I have decided to record, almost like a personal diary of how I am implementing this new groundbreaking research on why we overeat and how to stop and what flavor and nutrition and our body's desire has to do with all of this.
And I'm taking you behind the scenes and a 30 day audio live challenge. Called the Craving Reset Live, so you're gonna be able to come alongside me to get an insider look at how I personally implement these ideas, to understand why cravings happen, how I have been eliminating desire for sugar and processed food, resetting my taste buds, so real food taste even better.
And throughout these 30 days, you're really gonna get this front row seat to witness exactly how I'm transforming my eating habits in real time, how I coach myself through challenges. So I could have charged thousands for this, but I really want as many people as possible to experience this behind the scenes of this transformation and how to do it for yourself. So it's going to be only $197 for the full 30 days.
Now, what I wanna do for you in today's podcast is I'm going to give you the first audio for free. So you can get a little bit of a deeper explanation on what's been going on behind the scenes, the research that I've been doing, and the basic principles of these ideas.

So if you wanna in come join us. When I told my best friend about these ideas, she literally looked at me and was like, OMG amber. This has never been explained to me in this way before, and this makes so much sense. This is life changing. Why is no one talking about this? So I promise you it is not gonna be anything that is recycled.
I'm using a lot of research from a lot of different places and a lot of different books I've read a lot of different, deep dark study holes that I've gone into, but I'm really synthesizing them in a new way that you're not gonna wanna miss out on.

Join us below in the show notes and here is the first audio.
Hello, friend. I am so excited you are here. If you are with me in this audio, you are about to witness one of my most personal transformations and going to be with me every step of the way. But I'm so excited to share this with you. The whole reason I wanted to create these audios is because I have come across some ideas that have absolutely blown my mind and have really changed my perspective on how I want to teach people.
How to stop overeating and binge eating. I am always super committed to making sure that what I am teaching is based on the latest research in neuroscience and gets my clients the best results in the fastest way possible. And I made that commitment to myself and to all of you the second that I started my coaching business and that means ideas are gonna change and new research comes about all the time.
Now because these ideas are a bit different than what I normally teach. I myself have been grappling with what do I want to teach and how do I want to implement these ideas in my own life? And so today I wanted to talk to you about one, like what even are these new ideas that I am talking about? what have I come across? And really sharing that research with you, but also taking you along this journey so you can see as I am creating this new method that will be launched into a brand new program by the end of this, how. I do this in my life and really the results that I create, you are gonna get to watch me do this process in real time and overcome these challenges that I come across.
As someone who would definitely consider myself as an expert in this area, you get to see how I coach myself in real time, witness how I'm going to create these results. So today's audio is gonna be a bit on the longer side as I explain how I even got to this point. And then every day from here on out, my intention is to create, um, a shorter audio about every day.
Whenever I have an insight that I want to share with you or something that I have overcome. A useful thought that you can use a new idea. And I would not be surprised if a lot of you stop overeating from these audios alone, but know that throughout this process, building something entirely brand new that is going to give you this further support option as well.
If you choose to continue wanting support after this time.
All right, so what are these new ideas? I'm sure you were dying to know. I came across the work of a man named Mark Skr. I have no idea if by pronouncing his NA last name right. Mark Skr. And he has a book called The Dorito Effect. You might have heard of it before. Now, I had heard of the Dorito effect before, but I hadn't fully read the book now as I started to read the book, and you can read it, it's a great book.
I would recommend reading it, but I'm gonna like give you all the highlights throughout these audios and in my upcoming program as well. So if you don't wanna read the book, you're gonna get it all anyways, all the important things at least.
So Mark talks about the role of flavor in our food. If you have known my work up to this point, I have talked a lot about our habits in this psychology and dieting and why dieting doesn't work, and how to rewire your brain to be a normal, natural eater.
That work is so essential and I still truly believe. That my process has given people results better than anyone else in the industry. Now, with that in mind, there was always something underneath the surface that I felt like was slightly missing, and this explains what it is, flavor.
Flavor is what helps us decide what's in our food. So every time we're deciding what to eat, what do we decide by? We usually ask yourself what tastes good. Why do we have taste buds? What is the point of them? It is to help our body predict what nutrition is coming in. So when we taste an apple, there are certain molecules that slot into our taste buds, letting our body know apple nutrition is about to come in, and then it ramps up our digestion to be able to process an apple.
Now something about our food has changed drastically in the last 50 years. A lot of people are blaming sugar or fat or carbs, but the number one thing that has changed in the last 50 years is the addition of flavors in our food. So much in fact, that the four most common ingredients in our food are sugar, salt, water, and natural flavor.
Natural flavor is the fourth most common ingredient in the American food system, and that was not that way 50 ish years ago.
There were not the same processed foods that there were 50 ish years ago. And they were definitely not the same obesity rates as there were 50 years ago. Humans for hundreds and hundreds of years were about the same weight, but now we are in what people call the obesity epidemic. Why? It's can't just be because people have all of a sudden gotten really bad at handling their emotions or have had all of this trauma come through because people were probably bad at handling their emotions definitely a hundred years ago and definitely had a lot of trauma a hundred years ago too.
So something else must be going on here. Something else must be changing in our food.
So I have spent pretty much every single waking moment for like the last couple months researching into our food system and into our digestive processes, which I had no idea was so complicated, but at the same time, very simple because it makes sense as essentially We forget we're animals.
We need to have mechanisms in place to help us decide what to eat. So as I've been doing this research and coming across these ideas, I have just had such an aha.
So let's talk about what's happening when we have these natural flavors. Now I'm saying natural flavors, 'cause that is truly the fourth most common ingredient. But we've all probably heard of artificial flavors too. They're both pretty much the same thing. They're both manufactured in a lab. The only difference is artificial flavors are like totally artificial.
You think of blue raspberry, there's no such thing as blue raspberries in nature. That is a total artificial flavor that flavor chemists have created. But then there's raspberry flavor, which is extracted from the raspberry plant, but it is still not a naturally occurring thing, meaning we can't just go out and go like.
Pick a raspberry and get raspberry flavor out of it. You need to use a complex chemical process in order to make that happen. And what's happening is as we are consuming these flavors, so let's think for example, you have a raspberry flavored protein bar. Your taste buds think, wow, look at this really strong raspberry flavor I'm tasting because usually added flavors are a lot more in 10th, then the actual natural raspberry that you would get from the bush.
So you, you're eating this raspberry protein bar, your taste buds go, wow, strong raspberry flavor. That must mean we're getting like a hundred raspberries coming into our body right now. Woo-hoo. Raspberry nutrition. You eat the protein bar, it arrives in your stomach and what happens? There's no raspberry nutrition around what is going on here.
So then your brain has to pay attention. Something has gone wrong. It is essential for our body to be able to get its essential nutrients in every day. So if we eat raspberry flavor and we think, oh, raspberry's coming in, and it doesn't, it creates this intermittent reinforcement where sometimes we're getting raspberry flavor and sometimes we're not.
Intermittent reinforcement is the driving principle behind all addictions. This is why when you do the slot machine, it's like sometimes you win money, sometimes you don't. Money's an essential survival resource. So what do we do? We feel addicted to the gambling because we don't know are we gonna get this essential resource or not.
So the same thing is happening with food. We're sometimes we're tasting raspberry flavor and we're getting raspberry. Be from a natural thing and sometimes we're tasting raspberry flavor and we're not. And this creates a very confusing situation for our brain and body that it needs to hyperfocus on and start thinking about all day long to figure out where is raspberry flavor coming from?
Now that is just one example. You also think about protein bars is sweet. Everything else in nature. That has protein in it. Is it savory? It is not sweet. Or if it is sweet, it tastes like sweet and savory. So for example, if you have like yogurt or something and you were to add honey to it, you would taste honey and you would be tasting the yogurt.
So your brain would predict, carb is coming in from the sweet honey, and there is a little bit of carbs and yogurt. So your brain is tasting carbs, some honey, carbs from yogurt, as well as protein from yogurt. And all of that is accurate. It arrives accurately in your body. It makes sense to your body. And when I came across these ideas, there was a part of me that thought, this is just diet culture.
This is not something I wanna listen to, not something I wanna pay attention to. But it was just so glaringly obvious to me that this is so important, and yet no one is talking about it. That is the other thing, which I am just like everyone has it wrong. Like no one is talking about the role of flavor and how our body uses flavor to decide what to eat.
Okay? And I think I'm gonna stop there for today because I do want these to be bite-sized things that you can listen to every day. But I wanna hear from you too during this time. I wanna know what comes up when you hear me talking about these ideas. Any questions you have, any hesitations you have,
and I can't wait to go through this transformation with you
and continue to share the little tidbits and stories and new thoughts and information that I've been gaining along the way.
